Palm Trees in The Overflow Pipe

I'm in the process of writing the next collection of short stories, The Hate Extractor (well, that's the working title). I'll update you about that another time. When I write, I experiment with lots of ideas – a few of which end up as fully-formed short stories. But the majority don't. Out of these, most are consigned to story purgatory, where they exist in a state of misery and regret for all eternity.

Others, however, aren't so bad. While they might not make it to book heaven (I'm tiring of this metaphor very quickly) they don't deserve everlasting torment. That's why I have decided to start a new section of my website called The Overflow Pipe. It'll be like a blog except that it will contain flash fiction (this might not be the most accurate way to describe these bits of writing, but it'll have to do for now).

To give you an idea of what to expect, one of them, called Roystonea Lenis, is about someone who has palm trees growing out of his head. So, yes, they might be an acquired taste. But you never know, you may just enjoy them. Anyway, I'll let you know when The Overflow Pipe starts dripping.
